Idealist.org: This site will be of great interest to anyone involved in the management of a non-profit organization. Information on non-profit organizations and the non-profit sector in general can be found here, as well as a message board and good link resources.
International Center for Not-for-Profit Law: ICNL is an international organization whose mission is to facilitate and support the development of civil society and the freedom of association on a global basis. ICNL, in cooperation with other international, national, and local organizations, provides technical assistance for the creation and improvement of laws and regulatory systems that permit, encourage, and regulate the not-for-profit, nongovernmental (NGO) sector in countries around the world. ICNL maintains a documentation center for laws, regulations, self-regulatory materials, and other relevant documents, it provides relevant training and education, and it conducts research relevant to strengthening and improving laws affecting the NGO sector.
Nonprofit Charitable Orgs: A resource containing over 700 links related to nonprofit organizations, including extensive sections on fundraising, volunteers and general management.
Nonprofit Resource Center: A general resource for information on nonprofit organizations, their management, strategic planning and fundraising.
TechSoup Funding Information: This organization, which provides technology information and advise to nonprofit organizations, has a very helpful section on fundraising in general, as well as how to use technology in fundraising.
The Foundation Center: The Foundation Center is an independent nonprofit information clearinghouse established in 1956. The Center's mission is to foster public understanding of the foundation field by collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating information on foundations, corporate giving, and related subjects. The audiences that call on the Center's resources include grantseekers, grant makers, researchers, policymakers, the media, and the general public.
Canadian Funding Resources
Imagine Canada: The Canadian Centre for Philanthropy (CCP) and the Coalition of National Voluntary Organizations (NVO) have come together to create a new organization: Imagine Canada.
CharityVillage: This Canadian oriented site covers a huge amount of information and resources of use to those working or volunteering in the non-profit sector. Included is a listing of Canadian, US and international resources for funding.
Victim of Crime Initiative Funding: A project of the Department of Justice's Policy Centre for Victim's Issues, it provides grant access for federal victim-related initiatives and programs designed to improve support to victims of crime.
United States Funding Resources
Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance: A government-wide compendium of Federal programs, projects, services, and activities which provide assistance or benefits to the American public. It contains financial and nonfinancial assistance programs administered by departments and establishments of the Federal government.
Fundsnet Online Services : Possibly one of the best resources for funding information I've seen on the 'Net. They maintain a database of funding sources broken down alphabetically and by area of interest. There are also sections on fundraising, grant writing, non-profit resources, volunteerism, journals and a large number of links.
Foundations Online: This service lists foundation, corporate and and other grant making organizations by their web pages, many of which contain online application information.
Grants and Funding - National Criminal Justice Reference Service: A comprehensive listing of grants and funding sources for justice programs in the US.
GrantsNet : GrantsNet is a tool for finding and exchanging information about the Department of Health and Human Services and selected other Federal grant programs.
Idealist.org: Idealist offers information for and about nonprofit organizations in the United States, including office organization, management, online discussions and much more.
Iowa Crime Victim Assistance Division Victim Services Grant Program: The Victim Services Grant Program provides partial funding and technical assistance to community-based and statewide programs throughout Iowa. The Program funds justice systems and victim service programs. Funded victim service programs provide free and confidential services to persons who are victims of crime.

NewVoices Grants: The Academy for Educational Development's national fellowship program, established in 1999 with support from the Ford Foundation, awards two-year grants to small nonprofit organizations working in various fields related to social and economic justice. Sponsored program areas include international human rights, women's rights, racial justice, migrant and refugee rights, international peace and security, foreign policy, and international economic policy.
State Department Exchange Visitor Program: Through the Exchange Visitor Program, foreign nationals may visit the United States temporarily to teach, lecture, study, observe, conduct research, consult, train, or demonstrate special skills. Designated sponsoring organizations facilitate the entry of foreign nationals into the United States to complete the objectives of any one of 13 program categories. At the conclusion of their program, participants are expected to return to their home countries.
Technology Opportunities Program: The Department of Commerce's Technology Opportunities Program (TOP) promotes the widespread availability and use of digital network technologies in the public and non-profit sectors. TOP makes matching grants to state, local and tribal governments, health care providers, schools, libraries, police departments, and community-based non-profit organizations.
The Grantsmanship Center: TGCI was founded in 1972 to offer grantsmanship training and low-cost publications to nonprofit organizations and government agencies. Now national in scope, it conducts more than 100 workshops every year.
Office for Victim of Crime Grants and Funding: A listing of VOCA and other grants available through the US Department of Justice. A State-by-state listing of VOCA resources/programs is available.
