Amnesty International On-Line: The home page of the world's major human-rights organization. More information and links than I could even begin to describe.
Anti-Slavery International: Anti-Slavery International, founded in 1839, is the world's oldest international human rights organization and the only charity in the United Kingdom to work exclusively against slavery and related abuses. They work at local, national and international levels to eliminate the system of slavery around the world by advocacy, lobbying, research and public education.
Childwatch International: An international network of organizations and services involved in research on children. One of their main aims is to coordinate research on children's living conditions and children's rights.
Crime Stoppers International: Much information on Crime Stoppers programs, including training, conference information and links to Crime Stopper web pages from around the world.
Crisisweb - The International Crisis Group Online System: ICG is a private international organization dedicated to increasing the ability of countries and societies to understand and respond to impending crises. Reports, analysis and publications can be found on this site.
Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response Association International: DERA seeks assist communities worldwide in disaster preparedness, response and recovery, and to serve as a professional association linking professionals, volunteers, and organizations active in all phases of emergency preparedness and management.
EPIX: Emergency Preparedness Information eXchange: This large site, based at Simon Frazer University in B.C., is the hub for the exchange of information between emergency/disaster management and response organizations. Many links to related groups, national and international, and much text information on the topic or emergency preparedness/management, conferences, etc.
European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control (HEUNI): HEUNI is the European link in the network of institutes operating within the framework of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme. It was established to promote the exchange of information on crime prevention and criminal justice among European countries.
Global Alliance Against Trafficking in Women: The Global Alliance Against Traffic on Women (GAATW) is a network of non-governmental organizations and individuals from all regions of the world, who share a deep concern for the women, children and men whose human rights have been violated by the criminal practice of trafficking in persons. GAATW is committed to work for changes in the political, economic, social and legal systems and structures which contribute to the persistence of trafficking in persons and other human rights violations in the context of migratory movements for diverse purposes, including security of labour and livelihood.
High Technology Crime Investigation Association International: The High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) is designed to encourage, promote, aid and effect the voluntary interchange of data, information, experience, ideas and knowledge about methods, processes, and techniques relating to investigations and security in advanced technologies among its membership. Membership is limited to: 1) Sworn peace officers, investigators and prosecuting attorneys -- employed by some level of local, state or federal governments -- involved in the investigation or prosecution of criminal activity involving computers or high technology; 2) Management and senior staff security professionals in the regular employ of private business or Industry in the various states, the primary duties of which, are the control and responsibility for security and/or investigation in computer or advanced technology environments.
Human Rights Library at the University of Minnesota: An extensive resource with over 6500 articles on file, links to more than 1400 human rights websites as well as research and legal materials.
ICC Victims' Rights Working Group: The Victims' Rights Working Group's main objectives have been to raise the awareness of governments and others about victims' issues, to ensure that the Statute and the Rules of Procedure and Evidence adequately provided for victims' rights to be protected and respected, and their needs and concerns to be met throughout the judicial process of the International Criminal Court.. The site includes background information, online documents and reports, and a link to their listserv.
International Association of Chiefs of Police: The homepage of this organization, with basic information on their goals, members and mission.
International Association of Forensic Nurses: Forensic Nursing is the application of nursing science to public or legal proceedings; the application of the forensic aspects of health care combined with the bio-psycho-social education of the registered nurse in the scientific investigation and treatment of trauma and/or death of victims and perpetrators of abuse, violence, criminal activity and traumatic accidents. Their site includes information on Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner certification.
International Association of Law Enforcement Planners: This organization helps network those who are planning the future of law enforcement around the world. Nicely organized, this is a very interesting site.
International Associations of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training: IADLEST is an international organizations dedicated to the improvement of public safety personnel. You'll find training, conference, and project information, as well as a member's directory.
International Association of Women Police: This site contains much information, including membership requirements, training and conference info, news and announcements and links of interest.
International Center for Not-for-Profit Law: ICNL is an international organization whose mission is to facilitate and support the development of civil society and the freedom of association on a global basis. ICNL, in cooperation with other international, national, and local organizations, provides technical assistance for the creation and improvement of laws and regulatory systems that permit, encourage, and regulate the not-for-profit, nongovernmental (NGO) sector in countries around the world. ICNL maintains a documentation center for laws, regulations, self-regulatory materials, and other relevant documents, it provides relevant training and education, and it conducts research relevant to strengthening and improving laws affecting the NGO sector.
International Center for Human Rights and Democratic Development: This Canadian organization works with citizens' groups and governments in Canada and abroad to promote human and democratic rights, as defined in the International Bill of Human Rights. It focuses on four themes: democratic development and justice, women's rights, indigenous peoples' rights, and globalization and human rights in the following countries: Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda (the Great Lakes Region), Togo, Burma, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, Haiti, Mexico, Peru and Guatemala. This site contains information on their many programs and a very large online archive of articles, papers and research on human rights around the world. Most of the publications are available online or can be ordered at no charge except postage.
International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy: The Centre is an independent, non-profit institute, officially affiliated with the United Nations. They are dedicated to making a substantial contribution to national and international efforts to reduce crime and improve justice. This site contains publications, occasional papers and reports, an events/conference listing and on-line forum facility, plus links to affiliated organizations.
International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children: Launched by the U.S.-based National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, ICMEC works to identify and coordinate a global network of organizations fighting child sexual exploitation and abduction. As ICMEC grows in size and support, its work relies on the commitment of countless public and private organizations, all concerned with child safety and global communication. Rather than replace the efforts of these local agencies, ICMEC serves as a coordinator, facilitator, and enabler for the agencies by providing counsel, standards, tools, and resources to help maximize the individual and collective effectiveness of agencies worldwide.
International Centre for Prevention of Crime: An extensive site dealing will all aspects of crime prevention, legislation and planning. Included is a 100 item "Best Practices" listing and much more.
International Crime Victim Survey: The International Crime Victim Survey (ICVS) is the most far-reaching programme of standardized sample surveys to look at householders’ experience with crime, policing, crime prevention and fear of crime in a large number of countries. Includes baseline information, methodology, publications, individual country statistics, comparative statistics between countries, key statistics and a list of participating countries/organizations.
International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc: A well established worldwide organization which has trained personnel from law enforcement and military services from around the globe. They offer a wide variety of training programs dealing with psychological trauma and CISM. The organization also maintains a 24-hour/day hotline to match up trained CISM teams with emergency service personnel in need of their services.
International Federation of Social Workers: The IFS is a non-governmental organization with special consultative status to the United Nations' Economic and Social Council and UNICEF. It is also accredited to ILO, the Council of Europe and the European Commission. Their site contains general information, link and telephone directories, program data and a number of online publications.
International Rehabilitation Council for Torture Victims: The home page of this organization, including contact information and links to a variety of online publications and news.
International Rescue Committee: This organization provides relief, protection and resettlement services for refugees and victims of oppression or violent conflict. Links on the site lead to existing programs operating in countries around the world.
International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners: An excellent site, containing much useful information on crime prevention, courses on the same, and a large number of links to associated sites.
International Society for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect: ISPCAN is a multidisciplinary international organization that brings together a worldwide cross-section of committed professionals to work towards the prevention and treatment of child abuse, neglect and exploitation globally. Their site includes conference information, publications and other resources.
International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies: The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS) provides a forum for the sharing of research, clinical strategies, public policy concerns and theoretical formulations on trauma in the United States and around the world. ISTSS is dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of knowledge and to the stimulation of policy, program and service initiatives that seek to reduce traumatic stressors and their immediate and long-term consequences. Their site contains online articles abstracts, information on organization programs and conferences and many links of interest.
International Union of Police Associations: On this site you'll find the history of this organization, news from around the world, information on seminars, programs, catalogs and publications, as well as a large link collection.
International Victimology Website: The Government of the Netherlands, in response to U.N. Declaration 1998/21, is organizing a website where international information on -- and of use to -- victimologists can be gathered and databased for easy reference.

National Institute of Justice International Center: The US NIJ has opened their online International Center, with links leading to a vast array of online documents and papers from a number of collections, as well as links to United Nations events and data, information on international crime and justice, as well as resources for information on grants and funding.
National Organization for Victim Assistance (NOVA): A victim's rights advocacy and emergency counselling organization, NOVA is a pioneer in the field of victim-assistance and has a number of manuals available on creating a local victim-assistance program and training volunteers. It's site contains excellent information on crime, safety and psychological trauma, and links to many related pages. NOVA, while a US organization, is becoming an agency of international scope.
Privacy International: Privacy International has been most prominent in North America, Europe and Asia, where it has liaised with local human rights organizations to raise awareness about the development of national surveillance systems. The network has also been used by law reform and human rights organizations in more than twenty countries to assist local privacy issues. In Thailand and the Philippines, for example, Privacy International worked with local human rights bodies to develop national campaigns against the establishment of government identity card systems.
University of Minnesota's Human Rights Library: An extensive collection of links, databases and documents dealing with Human Rights, the law surrounding this issue and other pertinent information.
World Organization Against Torture (Organization Mondiale Contre la Torture): OMCT fights against torture, summary executions, forced disappearances and all other forms of cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment. It has at its disposal a network, SOS Torture, consisting of some 240 non-governmental organizations which act as sources of information. It offers international advocacy, victim rights and support programs, and human rights monitoring.
World Society of Victimology: The WSV is an international not-for-profit nongovernmental organization with consultive status category II with the ECOSOC of United Nations and the Council of Europe. Its world-wide membership is brought together by their mutual concern for victims and includes victim assistance practitioners, scientists, social workers, physicians, lawyers, university professors and students. scholastics, governments and the legal profession. It's purpose is to promote research on victims and victim assistance, as well as promoting advocacy on the interests of victims throughout the world. Finally, it seeks to encourage interdisciplinary and comparative research in victimology and to advance the cooperation of international, regional, and local agencies, groups and individuals concerned with the problems of victims.

United Nations Action Against Terrorism: The official UN web site listing all UN activities, reports, treaties, statements, conventions and declarations involving the elimination of international terrorism.
United Nations Centre for International Crime Prevention: The Centre for International Crime Prevention is the United Nations office responsible for crime prevention, criminal justice and criminal law reform. It pays special attention to combating transnational organized crime, corruption and illicit trafficking in human beings.
United Nations Crime and Justice Information Network: This electronic clearing-house represents the culmination of several years of incremental efforts coordinated by the United Nations Centre for International Crime Prevention, Vienna. The goal of the Centre is to act as coordinator and arbiter of this forum for the international exchange and dissemination of information on crime prevention and criminal justice issues.

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights: A large site, dealing with all aspects of human rights. There's too much information available here to even try and list.

United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI): The objective of UNICRI is to contribute, through research, training, field activities and the collection, exchange and dissemination of information, to the formulation and implementation of improved policies in the field of crime prevention and control. Included are listings of projects/conferences, publications, documents and links of interest.
