International

Anti-Slavery International: Anti-Slavery International, founded in 1839, is the world's oldest international human rights organization and the only charity in the United Kingdom to work exclusively against slavery and related abuses. They work at local, national and international levels to eliminate the system of slavery around the world by advocacy, lobbying, research and public education.

Child Trafficking - Digital Library: A project of the Swiss Foundation of Terre des Hommes, this marvelous resource contains over 1400 online articles and documents relating to child trafficking.

Coalition Against Trafficking in Women: The Coalition Against Trafficking in Women (CATW) is a non-governmental organization that promotes women's human rights. It works internationally to combat sexual exploitation in all its forms, especially prostitution and trafficking in women and children, in particular girls. CATW is composed of regional networks and of affiliated individuals and groups.  Their site includes active programs, a list of participating groups and governments, a calendar of events and links to online resources.

Human Rights Watch Campaign Against Trafficking of Women and Girls: A variety of research and project documents are available on this site.

Human Trafficking.org: The purpose of this Web site is to bring Government and NGOs in the East Asia and Pacific together to cooperate and learn from each other’s experiences in their efforts to combat human trafficking.

La Strada International: La Strada seeks to prevent the trafficking of women in Central and Eastern Europe through partnerships with national organization in over nine countries.

United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime: Trafficking in Human Beings: Extensive information on human trafficking, background, links to programs, protocols and organized campaigns to educate the public and prevent the trafficking in human beings.

Bangladesh

Action against Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation of Children (ATSEC) Bangladesh: ATSEC is a non-profit organization and a coalition of 15 NGOs working in Bangladesh for prevention of trafficking in children and women and their sexual exploitation since last few years. It was formed after a consultation meeting held in May 1998, among the members of Save the Children Denmark - Red Barnet Partners Coordination Body (RBPCB) and an expert group on the issues of children and women trafficking and sexual exploitation between Bangladesh and West Bengal, India.

Barnaba Institute, The: This organization is a non-profit service which raises awareness about human trafficking and sexual exploitation through education and media and by providing support, guidance and care to trafficked and sexually exploited youth and young adults.  

Campaign to Rescue and Restore Victims of Human Trafficking: The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is designated as the agency responsible for helping victims of human trafficking become eligible to receive benefits and services so they may rebuild their lives safely in the U.S. The intent of the Rescue & Restore campaign is to increase the number of identified trafficking victims and to help those victims receive the benefits and services needed to live safely in the U.S. The first phase of the campaign focuses on outreach to those individuals who most likely encounter victims on a daily basis, but may not recognize them as victims of human trafficking. By initially educating health care providers, social service organizations and the law enforcement community about the issue of human trafficking, we hope to encourage these intermediaries to look beneath the surface by recognizing clues and asking the right questions because they may be the only outsiders with the chance to reach out and help victims.

ECPAT USA:  ECPAT is a network of organizations and individuals working together for the elimination of child prostitution, child pornography and trafficking of children for sexual purposes. It seeks to encourage the world community to ensure that children everywhere enjoy their fundamental rights free from all forms of commercial sexual exploitation.

Free the Slaves: This organization is dedicated to ending slavery, in all forms, world-wide.  They work through partner organizations, provide public education, promote slave-free trade, provide lobbying and public research.

Freedom's Promise: The mission of Freedom’s Promise is to rescue women and children affected by the human trafficking trade and restore them to freedom and hope. Locally, they support the work of World Relief by raising awareness of trafficking issues and providing funds for hygiene kits. Internationally, they support children rescued from trafficking on a case by case basis and sending teams of professionals with the intent of training locals to help rehabilitate victims.

National Criminal Justice Resource Center - Spotlight on Trafficking in Persons: Extensive information on trafficking in persons, both inside the US and internationally, including statistics, resources, programs, funding and other useful data.

National Human Trafficking Resource Center: The National Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC) is a national, toll-free hotline, available to answer calls from anywhere in the country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. The NHTRC is a program of Polaris Project, a non-profit, non-governmental organization. We are not a government entity, law enforcement or immigration.

Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons: - US Department of State:  The Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons (G/TIP) tools to combat trafficking in persons and assists in the coordination of anti-trafficking efforts both worldwide and domestically.

Polaris Project: The Polaris Project is committed to combating human trafficking and modern-day slavery, and to strengthening the anti-trafficking movement through a comprehensive approach. The Project is one of the few organizations working to serve both U.S. citizen and foreign national victims of human trafficking. Their programs operate at international, national and local levels through offices in Washington, DC; Newark, NJ; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; and Tokyo, Japan. The Polaris Project's approach to combating human trafficking includes operating local and national crisis hotlines, conducting direct outreach and victim identification, providing social services and housing to victims, advocating for stronger state and national anti-trafficking legislation, and engaging community members in local and national grassroots efforts.

Prostitution Research & Education: The purpose of Prostitution Research & Education is to abolish the institution of prostitution while at the same time advocating for alternatives to prostitution - including emotional and physical healthcare for women in prostitution. A purpose of PRE is to give voice to those who are among the world's most disenfranchised groups: prostituted/trafficked women and children. The project's goal is to empower this constituency by documenting their perspectives through research, public education, and arts projects.

The Campaign to Rescue and Restore Victims of Human Trafficking: A project of the US Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families. Under the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 (TVPA) the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is designated as the agency responsible for helping victims of human trafficking become eligible to receive benefits and services so they may rebuild their lives safely in the U.S. As part of this effort, HHS has initiated the Rescue & Restore Victims of Human Trafficking campaign to help identify and assist victims of human trafficking in the United States. The intent of the Rescue & Restore campaign is to increase the number of identified trafficking victims and to help those victims receive the benefits and services needed to live safely in the U.S. A critical component of the Rescue & Restore campaign is the creation of the Trafficking Information and Referral Hotline, 1.888.3737.888
