Donation Types | Advertising and Donations

We need your help to continue supplying our services!  As hard as we work to keep costs down -- we are an all-volunteer organization, working strictly through the Internet for cost-effective communications -- there are still large fees we have to meet for administrative and online services, as well as the technology and software acquisition and upgrades required to continue our work. Donations will be priced in Canadian dollars.

If you prefer another donation method, please contact us through our secure contact form.  We gratefully accept any donations an individual, company or organization which wishes to make, whether cash or in-kind;  no donation is too small to help us!   As a Canadian non-profit, non-share corporation, we cannot provide charitable tax receipts, but you will receive the grateful thanks of VAOnline.org!

Have your name, business or loved one listed as a supporter!

Donations of more than $50 Cdn entitle the donor -- if they so wish -- to be listed on our web site, on a yearly basis, under one of the following headings:

• Supporting Individual: donations by individuals or families


• Corporate Donors: donations by commercial, for-profit and non-profit businesses, organizations or institutions


• Memorial Donations: donations made in the name of another person

If you wish to publicly listed, please type the phrase: "List as a Supporter" in the Notes/Comments area of the online credit card form, and include all information you would wish posted:

• Name of the individual donor, or of the organization or business


• Non-profit organizations and businesses can have a single web link, e-mail address and physical address posted, plus a small logo.


• Memorial donations should include: "In memory of...", plus the name of the person.  A web link to a memory or tribute page can be included. 

Advertise your Non-profit Conference, Symposium or Workshop!

For a separate donation of $50 Cdn, your non-profit organization can have your conference or event advertised on VAOnline.org's pages.  Our site is viewed by over 14,000 users per month from around the world.  Advertising with us will greatly increasing your event's exposure to interested professionals and the public!  Help yourself while at the same time helping us!

For your donation, we will post a 190x80 px graphic ad, promoting your event, linked to your conference or event web site!  Example:

The advertising graphic will be placed on all our pages from the time your donation is received, till the start date of your conference/event. If you need a graphic created, VAOnline.org can do this for you, but an extra minimum donation of $50 Cdn is required.

Terms and Conditions for Applying for Advertising Donation

1. You must contact us prior to donating or sending your graphic image ads .  Donations made without prior contact and agreement through this form are simply donations, and do not bind VAOnline.org to running your advertising. 


2. The requesting organizing agency, institution or service must be a legally registered and recognized non-profit (public service, government or registered academic institution), serving the victim assistance field in some capacity.


3. We do not and will not accept advertising: for products; for personal or corporate services or businesses; nor for conferences or workshops from for-profit businesses


4. VAOnline.org reserves the right to accept or reject requests for advertising on our site, no matter what the source.  You agree you are making a request, not purchasing a service. 


5. VAOnline.org reserves the right to remove an ad at any time, at our discretion. VAOnline.org reserves the right to removed advertisements:
   • If they are found to be inappropriate in any context
   • If they are found to misrepresent the event or organization
   • If they were accepted due to false or misleading information supplied by the organization in question
   • For any reason as we deem fit with the needs, mission and mandate of our organization, and in the interests of our users.


6. Location of advertising space on each page is allocated by VAOnline.org. This is done as we deem fit with the needs, mission and mandate of our organization, and in the interests of our users


7. Supplied graphics must fit the ad space requirements of 190x80 pixels.  Supplied graphics larger than this size can be scaled down at no cost. VAOnline.org reserves the right to refuse ads based on design or information contained within the graphic. 


8. Graphics designed by VAOnline.org at the request of a donator will not be posted without the express acceptance and agreement of the donator.  Once created and accepted, they are the property of the donator, to use as they deem fit.
